What do we do? Southbound Safaris Limited began with a hunting passion between a father and son, providing New Zealand’s Southern Terrains through a guided hunting experience and nature photography. The wilderness hunts offer a fair chase of many known species such as the notorious Mature Red Stag, Himalayan Bull Tahr, Chamios Buck, and many more.

SERVICES & OUR POLICY

Firearms

Ammunition and firearms can be provided for the hunt. Find out more about applying for, bringing and using firearms in New Zealand by clicking here.

Services

Transport

Upon flight arrival, we can arrange pick-up and drop-off from the airport. We will transport you to and from your accommodation site.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be discussed before arrival. There are many sites including Fable Terrace Downs Resort, Huts, and Private Homestays .

Our Policy

Deposits

A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking and secure the requested dates for the hunt.

The hunts are not considered booked until the deposit is received.

Cancellations

Cancellations made within 90 days (3 months) of the scheduled arrival date, Southbound Safaris Limited will refund 100% of the deposit.

Cancellations made within 30 days (1 month) of the scheduled arrival date, Southbound Safaris Limited will charge $3,500 USD per hunter.

If a booking is cancelled within 14 days (2 weeks) of the planned date, the client will forfeit 100% of the deposit unless new dates can be arranged.

Travel

Southbound Safaris Limited recommends that each person obtain comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of their flight and the value of the hunt before arrival.

Prices

All prices for individual and package deals are in US Dollars.

We are Morgan and Ella, your dedicated hunter and wildlife photographer based in the outskirts of Darfield, New Zealand. Together, we share the thrill of adventure and capture the breathtaking moments of your hunting experience. This experience is for you to take home photos and memories from Southbound Safaris Ltd that you’ll never forget.

The creation of Southbound Safaris Limited derived from a shared passion for being out and about in our beautiful countryside. We often found ourselves hunting together for the thrill of a chase. Come along and share this experience with those who enjoy the outdoors.
